Go for walks around the neighborhood if I wanted to get to know people. Makes it easier to talk to people if you have a dog to walk. You can strike up conversations with neighbors who are outside walking or in their yards, having a dog is a good conversation starter. Also just be friendly everywhere you shop or do business. Maybe volunteer once a week or a couple times a month doing something you enjoy, it gets you closer to people when you have something in common.
I wouldn't do anything (that's because I'm an introvert) lol 😂

I have moved many times. Not a big deal. Go for a walk. Talk to strangers in the stores, visit neighbors, join churches be active in service clubs. to name just a few things I have done to get to know people

We did it. My philosophy was to find a church with people who could be our friends and then become active in that church. IT worked great for us.
Locate grocery store, nearest bank, post office, community centre, amusement park and go back to the place to dust it and 😴.
