Wonder why they should not know when they cause in your heart? Sure cool down and don't explode in their face but tell them what went wrong to avoid that type of behavior or else you'll always have to keep the toxic situation like that happen again... But hey not everyone likes to be blunt about things so do whatever will make you happy at the end of it all

@iQuit I’m not in good speaking terms with this person, I stay silent and distant as possible and I’m afraid open communication might just turn into another painful argument. I only have this patience to get by with being civil. But her passive aggressive ways are toxic but she is not smart, she admits it and it is evident in her academic records, so I can settle with the thought that she does not mean what she says or shows. Now I’m a calmer thanks.

That’s when my customer service training kicks in. I’m very, very polite. No small talk, no extra warmth. I just take care of whatever needs to be taken care of.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@bijouxbroussard I hope to learn that skill

I usually remove myself from the situation as quickly as possible, then I try and get to the gym and work out my frustrations there. Much better than punching a wall, lol.

I can't hide it when I am really angry. It happened to me at work once, when the IT girl basically implied I was an idiot and had screwed up my own computer. She escalated it, and brought in her supervisor, and the two of them were like hound dogs sniffing at my emotions...one of them said, "You seem really angry", in an accusatory voice. I smiled at her in a pained way, and said, "No, I'm having really bad stomach cramps".

Smile at them. And just keep smiling at them. They’ll know something is wrong.
Fluffybull · F
If someone has said or done something that has made you angry why not just say "your remark/behaviour has really upset me". It's not good to repress things. And why should they get away with it?

@TessDun Is this someone you have to work with?
TessDun · 36-40, F
@Fluffybull No, but she is a family now, still I have a choice not to see her as we live apart, only on special occasions
Fluffybull · F
@TessDun Oh, just avoid her then!

Walk away and concentrate on something else that can relax me….

Not sure I've been in that situation 🤔 I'd probably just be passive aggressive if anything
TessDun · 36-40, F
@ChiefJustWalks I get that passive aggressive energy from her. Yes I’d probably do that too, level 2
