Would you rather live and die alone or coexist miserably with someone?

SW-User
The only thing worse than being alone is being with the wrong people, so alone for sure.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@SW-User That must be a challenging time for you adjusting from being with someone to living alone and feeling lonely, even when surrounded by friends and family. Or worse, sometimes societal or family expectations can make one even more sad. So best to protect our energy and enjoy our own company and loving life.
@SW-User I am like u, alone and afraid and no idea how to change this now and absolutely no one to be with in the real world and I am pretty old, but never a monster can suffice...

I read and I know what settling could do
SW-User
@SW-User Lol i got downvoted for preferring to be alone than in a bad relationship 🙄
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
I just want to live happy with my brother, dog and degu. 😊
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@TessDun Yes, me too. My brother says that he wants to make sure everything will be perfect first.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@Manfredthemanic Perhaps you could ask your parents if you can stay with your brother even for a short vacation. Maybe they will give their permission.
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@TessDun My brother is staying with me for a bit here. He said he wants to make sure everything is fine with him before he asks me parents.
Fluffybull · F
Alone. I'd prefer the company of animals, books, films, music and social media to living with the wrong person
Madmonk · M
Being alone is best
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
If my bills are paid I’m fine staying, I’m too preoccupied to notice misery and I can block that out easily.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@TessDun So what do you think of Jason Momoa & Would You Do Him
TessDun · 36-40, F
@JohnOinger Probably not, I don't know him, he looks yummy though
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@TessDun nice
Live alone, die alone. I don’t need anybody.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
I did A . (Well not they dying part) It sucked and there was no reprieve for the suckiness. So I’m trying B. It still sucks but still not as bad as A was.

And that’s the truth.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@TessDun Being lonely was like having a disease. I made efforts to socialize but it was unfulfilling and limited in it quality - most of my peers are raising kids and have no time to spare. Some of them even considered me an additional chore, more or less.

Good question about the introvert - yes I very much am. That isn’t to say I resist social settings but I am cautious, and I find many things draining. So so I did activities I enjoy - I took a language class for instance. I made some new friends there. But still overall, very very lonely. It was hard to get close to anyone I could talk to daily, bounce ideas off of, travel with etc. Plan B is better cause at LEAST i have that.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@DoubleRings Yes I understand that. Even as introverts there’s some kind of need inside to connect and interact. Been on A mostly and can’t imagine yet coexisting with someone as I badly need alone time on a daily basis to function, could be due to past traumas in the household growing up. Good you found what’s working for you with past experience as comparison
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@TessDun Yeah not the best set up but it works. Except the times it gets frustrating…. mostly it’s ok. Maybe i’m not even “miserable” but agitated on a regular basis might be accurate.
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
Presently i am alone...i don't know how it is like living with someone...i am little scared if things go opposite...or i loose myself completely
Tonydang · M
Definitely rather be happy and alone than living a lie and miserable just to say I have a partner
Loneliness is it’s own hell, so…. Probably loneliness. At least there is a chance for happiness in it.
Ynotisay · M
Alone. NO doubt. Being miserable is a choice and one that I hope to never make.
MrGoodbar · 51-55, M
is it just you or are there children involved ?
TessDun · 36-40, F
@MrGoodbar Without or without children
MrGoodbar · 51-55, M
@TessDun without I would be on my own in a heartbeat. With children it depends on how miserable. there is a point
redredred · M
I am my own best company and I don’t enjoy fighting so, I’m going solo
TessDun · 36-40, F
@redredred yes 🙌 nothing compares
SW-User
I don't want either of those.
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M
Live alone without hesitation
Kae20 · 56-60, FVIP
Live alone ..no doubt about it.
iamelijah · 26-30, M
Die alone. My early retirement plan.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
Alone... But never lonely
That’s an easy one. I don’t need anybody to be miserable with.
ButterRobot · 51-55, M
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
It depends on what perks the coexisting brought on
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@TessDun I'm thinking like if they helped pay bills and you guys split the housework, but slept in separate bedrooms.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@TheLordOfHell Yes but they constantly made you miserable and might shorten your lifespan due to stress
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@TessDun Ugh...no fun!
BigBulge · 41-45, M
Oh, the peace and quiet of living alone...

@reflectingmonkey Yes living solo as alone and coexisting as having someone as close as significant other or family sharing same space. No not being alone on earth, I need telco people and internet even if sometimes they suck😅
