Would you rather live and die alone or coexist miserably with someone?

I did A . (Well not they dying part) It sucked and there was no reprieve for the suckiness. So I’m trying B. It still sucks but still not as bad as A was.

And that’s the truth.

@DoubleRings Would you mind sharing why it sucked? Also am curious are you an introvert or an extrovert?

@TessDun Being lonely was like having a disease. I made efforts to socialize but it was unfulfilling and limited in it quality - most of my peers are raising kids and have no time to spare. Some of them even considered me an additional chore, more or less.

Good question about the introvert - yes I very much am. That isn’t to say I resist social settings but I am cautious, and I find many things draining. So so I did activities I enjoy - I took a language class for instance. I made some new friends there. But still overall, very very lonely. It was hard to get close to anyone I could talk to daily, bounce ideas off of, travel with etc. Plan B is better cause at LEAST i have that.

@DoubleRings Yes I understand that. Even as introverts there’s some kind of need inside to connect and interact. Been on A mostly and can’t imagine yet coexisting with someone as I badly need alone time on a daily basis to function, could be due to past traumas in the household growing up. Good you found what’s working for you with past experience as comparison

@TessDun Yeah not the best set up but it works. Except the times it gets frustrating…. mostly it’s ok. Maybe i’m not even “miserable” but agitated on a regular basis might be accurate.
