I find intelligent banter and nuanced replies, humor, and humble introspection to be chiefly among the facets of true attraction. Anyone could have great boobs, or be "well hung"....but that shit is so temporal, and yes, the way of the gratuitous world.
My thought, and my deference goes far deeper than. In my case, a woman can contain much of that, but if air is all there is between the ears..there's barely time for a snack before I'd bail.

Have heard a psychologist say that people are attracted to qualities in others that they lack in themselves. I think that accounts for the reason that narcissists and empaths tangle paths in life.

I'm not sure why it happens but I was 18 when a guy just completely took my breath away. He was in front of me and he turned around and looked at me and I stood dead still. It was his eyes and smile.

I don't know the answer but I can tell you this, physical attraction has a LOT to do with it. People always say that all they care about is the personality but the truth is that unless there is some sort of physical attraction it is extremely rare that one gets to experience the personality. Most women want a strong confident guy, most guys who fit that description (particularly the confident part) are physically attractive and have experienced success in attracting partners. A guy who is less attractive may be the nicest guy in the world but he is likely less confident so he won't generally start a conversation or if he does it won't come off properly (trust me on this one) and the potential partner will be put off by his lack of confidence. I'm a people watcher I have seen this in action with others and experienced it myself. I watched a woman walk around a bar giving lap dances to every guy in the place, she walked past me within reach several times, looked at me and walked away. Physical appearance is the only logical explanation I could come up with for this. I have tried striking up conversations but I get nervous and sometimes stutter a bit and come off sounding like an idiot and the lady walks away. It is natural selection.

Absolutely no idea, it seems random to me. I once met someone on EP who I only ever spoke to online and not that often. But when we spoke it was like everything felt “right” to the point it was kind of spooky. The conversations never got old and I would feel like I was drunk on this energy we were creating. He would tell me he loved me and he hated me in the same sentence and I guess I understood. We’ve not been in touch for maybe five years, but the connection was so strong I remember it to this day. So maybe sometimes it just happens.

This is the weirdest thing for me. I have been with many women and well who cares. But there are 2 women in my life that made me crazy I could not stop thinking about my heart pounded at the thought of them I would give my life for them. The weird thing is they both were named Lisa. Nothing in common except that. Fuck I love both of them but I’m not with either one of them. 😞 My message to all of you stay away from Lisa, you’ll lose your mind

When ever I wonder things like this I try to see it from caveman Dains perspective and try to translate it into sense using what life has already taught me. Mixed together I come up with some pretty interesting points.
Males want fertile females to carry on their genes. Biology. Strong so they can survive birth and take care of the young.
Society, some what, dictates what is considered suitable with in your grasp.
So caveman wants one thing and society sets limits on what would be considered acceptable.
Caveman then has to search to find available, suited for the task and lets not forget willing.
Your caveman/woman brain does most of the work. It has triggers that signal potential mates. Then society filters availability of possibilities.
When cave person brain finds what it considers a contender, rational brain ways the other aspects and then makes a choice.
The choice then shoots to your frontal lobes and juices start to flow.
Bang. There it is in a nutshell. LOL

Pheromones

Natural human pheromone or artificial used in perfumes and colognes are also strong attractants. Women do have a finer sense of smell than men. Women have 43% more cells in their olfactory bulb than men. It's probably the reason your breath gets taken away, Enjoy ☺️

I guess it's a whole combination of things which probably start with the pheromones you mentioned earlier closely followed by physical attraction. Then the glint in their eyes and the way they smile.

The ways we act and/or react to the given situations mostly. Such attraction aids in knowing the character of an individual closely.

I react to visuals first. I can't help but stare at times, and that is why I look down at the ground immediately if I am caught at it. Just because someone is gorgeous and hunky does NOT mean I want to know them...learned that the HARD way.

If I am unfortunate enough to be in close proximity to the testosterone that some men exude in their sweat, it really affects me. I had a VERY hard time resisting a very sweaty co-manager once...who was a cheater and a loser, BTW.

For me it doesn't happen out of the blue. I may recognize that someone is physically attractive, but I don't actually feel attracted to them unless we've reached a certain level of emotional and mental connection.
