This is for the people that don't believe black lives matter
I will not silence you in the comments. I will not block you. Neither will I report you. If you want to let others know that you think any assaults or killings were the victims fault then you say it. I want you to be clear and vocal so other users can see what they are fighting against. I want other users to see how people like you exist. They should know the kind of hateful and bitter things that come out of your head. I want to them to see how such heartless things can breed in society. The people fighting again police brutality deserve to know how this happens.
I was not happy when I saw disgusting things posted on my Black Lives Matter post. I thought about deleting the replies or reporting them, but trying to shut you up didn't seem fair. I understand now that it is something that can be used to our advantage. It will remind us of the reason we are fighting. It will help us to keep defending the ones that need protection. We all deserve to be heard and I will not take away that right from anyone. So, if you want to show how little empathy you have then do it. I want you to keep the fire burning. Do it for all of us.
@BabyLonia It brings me up that other people are watching and that other people care. I want people to be aware and fight with me. Thank you for the support.
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I doubt it is just extremists from the left inciting violence. The right would have much more to gain. Am guessing we will never know the truth.
You're a hero for putting up with the endless hate. I've had to block some people I didn't want to and have lost friendships and a good part of my sanity over this.
Now, you understand the true value and meaning of free speech. It means protecting all speech, even the speech you don't like or disagree with.
I personally think that black lives do matter, so do white lives, Hispanic lives, Asian lives.. etc. If it makes me a racist to think every race is equal and important, then so be it.
If it makes me racist to point out that not even the majority of cops are bad, or that police brutality happens to every race when bad cops are involved, that's fine.
I will not stop speaking the truth just because it's uncomfortable, unpopular and angers/offends some people.
@RedtheEmerald Ok, i'm going to back out of this conversation because no matter what I say, you're going to get offended and obviously have some kind of agenda which appears to be solely focused on Black people, racism isn't only directed at them, be well, be safe.
I was distracted yesterday and scared about rising tensions in my area between two minority groups, but by late afternoon community leaders came together and organized It made my cry. I have a mixed family. - not my kids, but my cousins and my cousins kids. I’ve had the privilege of getting to know and socialize and partake in black culture and they in mine. We are so much alike, and still have some slight differences, but we’ve learned so much about each in our years of co existing for our families that I wish that my city was not as segregated as it is. And it terrifies me that any person especially those of color can die at the hands of a cop and they will walk without impunity. The fact is that white cops are less likely to be charged and prosecuted for murdering a black or brown person than for instance a black cop who kills a white man or woman.
@KaysHealingPath Your reply warms my heart. People have a hard time looking over their own book. Wanting to understand and be a part of something different is an admirable quality. It's one of the best qualities one can have. It is very hard trying to get through a world where so many people are selfish. Just know that there are many good people like you out there who feel the same way. Remember the thousands of people protesting for equal rights and see how many selfless people there are. Always keep your mind open and curious. Living a life with a closed mindset is a sad life.
My grandmother used to say, “best to know who ‘le diable’ is”. I don’t understand why they get mad when they’re identified and called out. They’re much more upset about being called racists than they are about actually being racists. 😒
@bijouxbroussard That's how every single racist thinks. It is how my biological dad is. It's okay for him to treat people bad for being a different ethnicity, but it's not okay when someone calls him out on it.
It’s not the movement itself really, that makes it controversial. it’s just that it’s being used to spark conflict. Dave Chappelle has a skit on the subject that sums up the problem pretty accurately through comedy. The movement is being sponsored by old white folks disguised as philanthropist while their main purpose is to divide and conquer. It’s a front basically. That’s my problem with it anyway
@Bagalamaga What annoys me is when big companies hop on board. They act like they give a shit, but they don't. All companies celebrate gay pride now, but a couple years back when it was still very taboo they didn't give a shit. It's a marketing skeem and they try to milk the hell out of it.
I haven’t read a single comment on here saying anything derogatory or racist against blacks. I don’t know anyone cheering on the death of a black man by a white man in any capacity. I do however have specific problems with the organization black lives matter. And generally I support comments against the organization. That’s all I’m going to say.
@Keepitsimple You're right. We all do matter and no one is saying otherwise. But, one of us is suffering greatly and needs help. That's what this is about. Equality.
