What have these four in common?

Clue: Nobody reading this post will share the thing they have in common, and it should be possible to work out what they have in common simply by looking at their faces.

Excellent appearing skin. A soften photographic effect?
jomsim · 26-30, M
@SteelHands With 7.8 billion in the world, I beter there are thousands of people who could pass themselves off as these four.

I guess my fear comes from nature being honed over billions of years. All the checks and measures are there. When we start producing "natural" results in artificial ways, it's difficult to know all the places it might lead. A bit like genetically modified food.
SteelHands · 61-69, M
@jomsim right.

We might all end up looking like cave people to each other. What happens when there's no pretty or unattractive people left and everybody just looks same.
@jomsim

@jomsim these are computer generated and not actually real persons?
I was going to guess this after reading a few of the wrong replies.

Damn.
I am good :)

I was gonna say they all like strawberry tic tacs
jomsim · 26-30, M
@SW-User Haha! I hope her twin sister doesn't work at the ice store!

@jomsim well if she does im stealing my line back 😂

they are composite people that don't actually exist
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand Because I made these ones myself, 15 minutes ago. I was curious whether anyone else would be able to tell, given that they look real to me.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@jomsim that doesn't explain how we would know from looking at them though.
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand That's the whole reason for the question. It was a bit like a Turing Test. I was curious to know if you lot could spot something about them, that I myself could not. I'm kind of glad nobody did because the only thing I stood to learn was that I'm unobservant.
they are all human?
lolll, do you ever get told that you just have one of those familiar faces? @jomsim
jomsim · 26-30, M
@soulsrespite I think that's what it must be. I keep hoping nobody who looks like me commits a serious crime!
haha, good luck. @jomsim
They are all humans!
jomsim · 26-30, M
@puck61 Hehe, contrary to popular belief, some of the site users are humans too. They share a trait that nobody else on this site has.
@jomsim Okay! They are all part of a 4 part composite portrait style photograph! It's something they have in common and no one else on this site is part of that composite! Yay! I win!
jomsim · 26-30, M
@puck61 Haha! I'll give you that. But there's something much stranger about what they have in common.
Platoscave · F
all have computer generated gorgeously proportioned faces so they are all perfect examples of what conventionally attractive people supposedly look like.
Platoscave · F
@jomsim Do these people have too much of it?

The Ramses statue in Egypt is supposedly computer generated and not that interesting...for the same reason.

Too much asymmetry can be worse though, ask any lady who had a botch job facelift.
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Platoscave Now I look at them, there is a lot of symmetry going on there. You're the onlt person who noticed it. And yes, there definitely seems to be the "right level" for symmetry and going too far either way can be unattractive.
Platoscave · F
@jomsim I think I saw this exercise somewhere else...

I had the botch job I referred to
Miram · 31-35, F
They are not ugly.
Miram · 31-35, F
@jomsim can't use a computer or don't speak English?
Miram · 31-35, F
@jomsim Ugh, I give up D:
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Miram They don't do either. And the answers out now. None of them exist. They were created by a neural net in order to form an image that humans recognise as human.
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
Their faces have all been created by AI
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
Wow. I was surprised I was right actually. The biggest clue I had to go on was the guy top/right. There's something wrong with his mouth that I can't quite put my finger on. I'm not sure if it's the shape of it or maybe the lip colour not quite sitting right with his skin tone. @jomsim
jomsim · 26-30, M
@ThePerfectUsername I think you're right. His mouth doesn't really fit on that face. A few of the ones I generated looked odd and I rejected them, but I didn't notice his mouth until you just said it.
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
The guy bottom left... to me his ears look like they belong to someone else. It's a hell of a lot harder to tell with the women though but I'm putting that down to us being so familiar with photoshopped models being everywhere you look nowadays. I think we've kinda subliminally become used to women not quite looking real anyway. @jomsim
They have the same father..
@jomsim it was through artificial insemination.. they are test tube children..
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Majorlatency It's definitely artificial. None of the four have ever existed in real life. They are computer generated.
@jomsim Yeah! I saw the answer thank you...
Munchingonspaghetti · 26-30, F
Money? What is the real answer then🙈
Munchingonspaghetti · 26-30, F
Omg how can you tell?! 😱😱@jomsim
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Munchingonspaghetti I got them from here:

:)
Munchingonspaghetti · 26-30, F
Wow that’s fascinating! @jomsim
Effloresce · 26-30, F
There’s a bunch of things these people have in common
jomsim · 26-30, M
@Effloresce But there's one thing they've all got in common with each other and nobody else on this site shares that thing.
passingby8 · 31-35, F
I thought it was maybe fake smiles?
They are as real as my persona on here.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
They're all the same person, practicing their disguise techniques?
Firestarter · 26-30, F
@Pseudonym Even though they're not real, I bet someone looks/looked just like them some where.
Gumba1000 · M
They are blind?
