What have these four in common?

Clue: Nobody reading this post will share the thing they have in common, and it should be possible to work out what they have in common simply by looking at their faces.

Excellent appearing skin. A soften photographic effect?

@SteelHands It's not quite right, but you and one other people have mentioned something interesting, and moving along the right lines. I think you'll be surprised when you know.

@jomsim these are computer generated and not actually real persons?
jomsim · 26-30, M
@SteelHands You win! They are formed by a generative adversarial network, a neural net devoted to machine learning and the task was to produce something that humans recognise as human.

@jomsim Wow.

@SteelHands I have to admit, I was kind of impressed (and scared).
SteelHands · 61-69, M
@jomsim It is impressive. Frightening a bit as well.

In a world we've got crisper trying to design humans in some places it's easy for me to say I'm far more attracted to the ordinary.

This composite is so beautiful and yer she doesn't exist. Just wow.

@SteelHands She (or "it", I suppose) is beautiful to me too. I found a few of them quite attractive and had to keep reminding myself there was absolutely zero chance of interacting. Apart from in virtual reality, I suppose.

Yer=yet. And thanks for ba.

@jomsim You also might figure that possibly in the past or future she may have. Or will.

I'm not sure if I'm really all that afraid. I should be more accepting of this since I'm always listening to artificial ambient sound when my music is off. Right now it's waves crash on a rocky shore with overhanging trees populated by assorted songbirds coming out of a homesick device.

Oh well. We can dream at least.

@SteelHands With 7.8 billion in the world, I beter there are thousands of people who could pass themselves off as these four.

I guess my fear comes from nature being honed over billions of years. All the checks and measures are there. When we start producing "natural" results in artificial ways, it's difficult to know all the places it might lead. A bit like genetically modified food.

@jomsim right.

We might all end up looking like cave people to each other. What happens when there's no pretty or unattractive people left and everybody just looks same.
@jomsim

[/quote]I was going to guess this after reading a few of the wrong replies.

Damn.
I am good :)
