I never said it was sinister. Do you need a hug?
Fact
1.people have dumped waste on this planet for many years.
2. Our generation has done more to clean it up.
3. Wind energy and solar panels everywhere.
4. 33% of homes recycle.
5. Building materials are made from recycled goods.
6. Hybrid cars go further on less.
I feel good about climate change, but it only mentioned when people want to scare us. It is like the adult monster in the closet.

@Zer0Point The sinister agenda is destroying the US economy and its sovereignty via EPA regulations. Regulations every other industrialized country's government pays lip service to. But you can't use logic or reason with people who believe symbolic EPA regulations are going to make a difference in the environment. But then again a sucker is born every day who actually believes feeeling good about themselves equivocates with results. Yes suckers brought up on google whose main trait involves virtue signaling who are always short on facts, reality and results. But seemingly are always quick to comment on something they know nothing about.

Global warming leads to more extreme weather including but not limited to snowstorms, droughts, and hurricanes. I think people take the warming to literally mean "it's called global warming, so that must mean everything is going to be 100 degrees."
This is overly simplified.
https://www.skepticalscience.com/global-cooling.htm
https://www.skepticalscience.com/Global-Warming-Cold-Winters.html
As for brush fires:

This is overly simplified.
The question of global warming stopping is often raised in the light of a recent weather event - a big snowfall or drought breaking rain. Global warming is entirely compatible with these events; after all they are just weather. For climate change, it is the long term trends that are important; measured over decades or more, and those long term trends show that the globe is still, unfortunately, warming.
https://www.skepticalscience.com/global-cooling.htm
https://www.skepticalscience.com/Global-Warming-Cold-Winters.html
As for brush fires:
As the climate warms, moisture and precipitation levels are changing, with wet areas becoming wetter and dry areas becoming drier.
Higher spring and summer temperatures and earlier spring snow-melt typically cause soils to be drier for longer, increasing the likelihood of drought and a longer wildfire season, particularly in the western United States.
These hot, dry conditions also increase the likelihood that, once wildfires are started by lightning strikes or human error, they will be more intense and long-burning.
The costs of wildfires, in terms of risks to human life and health, property damage, and state and federal dollars, are devastating, and they are only likely to increase unless we better address the risks of wildfires and reduce our activities that lead to further climate change.

I’ve lived in California for 45 years...endless summer and insane fires in December are not normal. There is climate chaos occurring. This is not a political issue.
@SW-User No. There are careless idiots and vandals either starting fires accidentally or on purpose. The climate changes. It has been changing for over four billion years.

@therighttothink50 hooray for your last statement. I'd love a world united without nations, without division.... I think that though is harder than fixing global warming.
The difference I see is the rapidity of change. Yes it is a spec of time. The earth will continue as the only planet we know of supporting life. But.... we have built a current human centric world in many places and we put that at risk ie human continuing existence on this precious planet by our own arrogance that nature's reaction to us won't destroy us. I feel to do that when we know what is causing it is crazy but politicians and businessmen will dictate sadly what we do.

I’ll answer it. Global, warming, a non-political position taken by 99 percent of scientists who research and study the climate, is happening. Period. To take a differing position based on a non-scientific point of view is, well, not based on anything except narrow minded politics. With that said the cub is freezing because it is freezing in Antarctica. The changes in our environment, much caused by man made decisions over the past 100 years according to those scientists, have created a very slow process that is heating up the environment with expected dire consequences.
@masterofyou Yes it is a scam.
fairone · F
@puck61 puck ur wrong! 😢.. conspiracy theories went out with the twist..its easy to push something into a decompartmentalized box.. when you will never see the truly catastrophic events (what we are experiencing now is childs play)..global warming will severely impact our/my future generations children, grand children, great grand children.. it's happening right now.. no disrespect but perhaps you have killed one too many brain cells..
Okay, according to the concept of global warming, the global increase of temperature can actually cause colder weather in some areas. For example. Anchorage, Alaska had a record high of 44 degrees yesterday while it was a high of 28 in Jacksonville Florida. Low pressure systems can be created by warmer ocean temperatures and low pressure sucks air masses from the surrounding areas. A very strong low pressure system formed off the southeast coast of the US because of warm ocean currents colliding with colder ocean currents, and that system sucked a cold Arctic air mass into it, causing to be colder in Florida than Anchorage. According to global warming science, global warming can actually cause colder weather in unusual places. However, climate change, is not man made in my opinion, and they have been caught red handed 'cooking the books'. The whole global warming alarmism scam is a political means to an end and a cash cow for globalist miscreants. The earth goes through climatic changes that are cyclical and the 'warm' naturally becomes 'warmer' over billions of years. Entropy always has it's day and we will eventually reach thermodynamic equilibrium. It won't be warm at all!

@puck61 Scientists are you? Down with science! Down with experts! Why do you people hate education and knowledge so much?
Capt11 · 51-55, M
I am trying to remember my college days, there was a class called science. Never saw the class called knowledge. I did go to a state college perhaps that was the problem.
therighttothink50 · 56-60, M
@puck61 On Wednesday a weatherman predicts 2-4 inches, on Thursday ten inches of snow falls. Yes putting faith in those who can't even predict the next day's weather with any accuracy makes sense to me :)
therighttothink50 · 56-60, M
What passion is involved? Even if you believe in the climate change cult's ruse, all we are doing is making symbolic gestures and for what? So people can feel good about trying and subsequently destroying only the United State's economy. Anybody who uses logic understands feeling good about oneself and useless actions mean nothing especially when the results are meaningless.

Wildlife poaching and illegal trade. Climate change. Urbanization. Mining. These are some of the myriad things we do that endanger animals and, in the process, damage our own well-being.
Three-quarters of the Earth's estimated 8.7 million species are at risk, according to a 2011 PLoS Biology study. Of course it's not always our fault, but even the most conservative estimates, like one published in a 2015 Science study that uses the fossil record, suggest that the current extinction rate based on vertebrate data is up to a hundred times higher than it would be without human intervention.

@Bean17 Are you that brain cell deficient, what devastating effects? Floods, warming and cooling, something called weather. We have had ice ages and extreme periods of warming and cooling for billions of years and I might add humans weren't around when most of these incredible extremes in weather took place. This is a phenomenon called weather and the sun is the main influence on weather, it has and always will be. Weather didn't begin in 1860 like the snake oil salesmen Obama, Gore and the fake science guy Bill Nye insinuate.
I suggest you take some courses on history and logic. Unfortunately you can't even spell. God help you, you know nothing about logic, history or common sense. I can tell you are part of the google drone generation lost in emojis and dearth of critical thought.

And I can tell that you are a mindless Trump follower! Trump tweets that global warming is not real and his faithful followers lap it up and then parrot what he says (because if their idolized, revered leader said it’s true then it must be true). You know what?? At first it was just us (the United States) and Syria and Nicaragua (SYRIA & NICARAGUA) who wouldn’t agree to be a part of the Paris Climate Agreement. And then they joined! The USA is the ONLY freaking country in the whole wide world to not be working together to enact change where the environment is concerned!!—to help this poor, overtaxed planet that supports us all. And who’s fault is that?? Trump’s. Meanwhile he’s still busy pushing coal (which is not even a renewable resource) and we are being left in the dust by the rest of the 194 out of 195 other countries of this world who actually have a clue. Emmanuel Macron says “Let’s make our PLANET great again” and he even invited American scientists whose funding got cut (thanks to Trump) to go live over there in France where they would give them grants to enable them to keep studying and conducting their much needed and very valuable research. France’s President actually gives a F about his people and also about the people of this world. The only thing Trump cares about is himself. And the only thing scarce, lacking, deficient, and inadequate in this thread (your favorite word DEARTH) is your common sense and willingness to admit that our country is in the wrong. I’m done here.@therighttothink50

@Bean17 You are done because you are useless drone incapable of any kind of critical thinking. Good luck existing in your google world.Your world where parroting Marxist BS has become a way of life for you.
You can't even separate paragraphs, you are that lazy and it shows. Drones are people I can't help, especially inane drones who don't get the concept that even if they believe in the ridiculous concept of man made global warming, there is absolutely nothing that the Paris Accord or the symbolic EPA regulations of Obama is going to do to fix the so called problems you think we have in this world.
You can't fix people who are no longer capable of fixing themselves, you can't fix brains which have been rewired and who have been indoctrinated since birth to become part of a thumbed down willfully ignorant conformity cult.
You are the perfect slave model for Agenda 21 and Agenda 30. You will go willingly into the age of machines, you will become the perfect candidate to wear virtual reality goggles and sit in your ten by fifteen foot cell where you can watch anything you wish and turn into the nothingness your generation has become. The drone generation who hates liberty and despises freedom of speech, who are all incapable of critical thought and or logic. A generation of mindless robots who lack basic cognitive and writing skills, who don't desire to read beyond an eighth grade level and whose vast majority lack basic math skills.
Good luck in your serfdom. I am sure you will wear your illogic proudly as a badge of dishonor amongst your other enslaved generation of social misfits/comrades who will all collectively be known for one thing in history, bringing mankind into a permanent dystopia.
But the greatest sin of all is that you will not be able to even recognize the technocratic slave you have become. You will embrace your new social engineered self because you will no longer be what you hate, an individual and that is not only sad but very disturbing.
The most dangerous people in the world are those who can not think for themselves and you are one of them. Those who reject individualism and deep down hate themselves. I need an aspirin from reading what you consider a written reply, your attempt at writing actually scares me more than the drivel you spew.

Warmest winter I've ever experienced here. The temperature on Christmas day was 11oC outside when the usual range is between 3oC and 9oC. We (UK) had a few months in 2017 which set new records for average temperature and that's even with the Gulf Stream moving north (The Gulf Stream keeps our weather unusually warm for our latitude).
The one thing I always like to remind people is that the climate has never been fixed. It's a dynamic system which is constantly changing over thousands of years anyway. It's not the planet I'm worried about (life will always survive), it's us. If we make this place uninhabitable for humans, that's just dumb. What a ridiculous way for our species to die out.
