Well people explain this to me.

I’ll answer it. Global, warming, a non-political position taken by 99 percent of scientists who research and study the climate, is happening. Period. To take a differing position based on a non-scientific point of view is, well, not based on anything except narrow minded politics. With that said the cub is freezing because it is freezing in Antarctica. The changes in our environment, much caused by man made decisions over the past 100 years according to those scientists, have created a very slow process that is heating up the environment with expected dire consequences.
@KaTeeEvent Climate change is real, but that kind of alarmism is nothing but a political tool that globalists are exploiting as much as possible. I live on the water and the high and low tide markers on the pilings on my dock are just as accurate now as they were 13 years ago. The winters are cool and cold and the summers are hot. Same old same old.

Of course Mother Nature doesn’t share our concept of time. While the perspective of you and I may see the same as we always have there are places like Greenland and the ice caps where the changes are already stark. The predictions are for next year or 2028 but in this century a slight raising of the average warmth will exacerbate melting ice and raise the sea level in many coastal areas. So say the scientists and a majority of nations back the research.
@KaTeeEvent What caused the ice age? What caused the winter of 1888? What caused snow to fall at sea level in Tampico Mexico in 1895? The weather is subject to the will of the Almighty like everything else. Al Gore has been wrong repeatedly, and the ones screaming the loudest about global warming leave the largest carbon footprints of anyone on earth. The "alarmism" is nothing but a political means to an end for globalists. They have been caught cooking the books red handed. It is a ruse.

@puck61 715 million years ago the entire planet was encased in snow ... The ice brought Earth to a standstill. .... They date from around 700 million years ago, soon after Earth oceans were form from the ice.. Some scientist say we are still in an ice age and still thawing out....
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
Of course there are weather fluctuations, many catastrophic, over the course of millions of years.

It’s not my opinion or yours here: the world’s preeminent scientists, with no agenda other than science, citing irrefutable evidence say that man made actions of burning carbon and introducing chemicals not found in natural abundance are causing the earth’s mean temperature to rise one gradual tick at a time.

You see our opinions are not scientific but affected by other inputs such as religion and politics and in the case of our President that it affects the bottom line of businesses. I think to argue otherwise against the scientific community is short sided and foolish.
@KaTeeEvent No. They say what they have to say to keep the grants coming. They've been caught cheating and lying to push the 'alarmism' con job numerous times.
masterofyou · 70-79, M
@KaTeeEvent Fake science baby girl most of those scientist are living off government grants... Just chill sweetheart...
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
Come on Puck. The world’s future hinges ion smart and bold decisions made today especially for the first time by nation’s working together and you espouse a self-conceived conspiracy theory by the global community of the world’s scientists?
@KaTeeEvent The sky is falling. Yellowstone is going to blow any second! It's a scam. Climate change is real, that's what climates do. The ALARMISM is a political means to an end and a cash cow for charlatan scum bags.
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
No, Yellowstone has an ancient history of harboring a volcano that hasn’t blown in hundreds of tniusands of years. Fools, those who are religiously or politically influenced, I believe are the ones that choose to ignore hard evidence of a process that is already in place and what the world’s leading experts say. It,is the agenda and dogma of the right wing fueled by paid propaganda from the companies like Exxon which have their very existence based on a business first outcome, environment last place.

Bottom line, it is your belief based on a self-believed conspiracy theory vs the world’s scientific community and already hard evidence in place that man has negatively affected the environment.
@KaTeeEvent Globalist opportunism and and charlatan's cash cow.
masterofyou · 70-79, M
@puck61 No it is not a scamm. Now that is true science.....
@masterofyou Yes it is a scam.
fairone · F
@puck61 puck ur wrong! 😢.. conspiracy theories went out with the twist..its easy to push something into a decompartmentalized box.. when you will never see the truly catastrophic events (what we are experiencing now is childs play)..global warming will severely impact our/my future generations children, grand children, great grand children.. it's happening right now.. no disrespect but perhaps you have killed one too many brain cells..
@fairone Global warming alarmism is a scam. Plain and simple.

Real sweet with the "brain cell" remark. Not quite sure where you're coming from there but typically pseudo lib in nature. 🤢
