Actually, you're categorically incorrect. The term "great white north" was never associated with any part of the United States when that term came into being, so you're making that one up to serve your own post. Nice try, but you're wrong!

You live south of Canada and the term "great white north" is in reference to that part of North America that is north of the USA, which of course is ________, which is not the country where Minnesota is located! Just sayin'...!

Perhaps this would have been more acceptable to you... I am from Minnesota, the northernmost state outside Alaska; its isolated Northwest Angle in Lake of the Woods is the only part of the 48 contiguous states lying north of the 49th parallel north. Minnesota is in the U.S. region known as the Upper Midwest in interior North America.
