Florida’s beauty and food

If you are set on Miami, you'll be very close Everglades National Park; go see it while you can, as well as the keys.

If you want to see more, up the coast you can see the NASA's Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral/Kennedy/Canaveral.

There's also the Salvador Dalí Museum is in St. Petersburg, Florida; it has been totally rebuilt and I believe that they habe the largest Dalí collection in the world.

If you are down by the Tropic of Cancer, notice how high the Sun is at noon! (It's directly overhead there on the Summer solstice; it is never directly overhead anywhere further North.)

Oh yeah if you do go there in a hot month you won't be waiting in lines a mile long so if anyone says don't go in August then definitely go in August. Wear a big straw hat and carry plenty of water.

This isn't even a short list Florida is jamb packed with sites to see. Just start by ignoring the big old mouse theme park.

We go to Destin FL every year. Condo on the beach.

Florida is beautiful but the humidity and buds are terrible in August. The beaches are great and the theme parks are sleays fun. The keys are amazing

Siesta Key has been named one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. I tend to agree, love it there.

I have never been there in August. Too hot and humid. It is already too hot and humid up north where I live, that time of year.

But I have been there in winter. I stayed near Miami, on the beach, which was nice. But hotels are expensive, and so is parking! Fights were relatively cheap, though.

One year I flew to Key West. That is unique. Not great beaches, but good nightlife. I swam in a pool and never in the Ocean.

The panhandle beaches are the most beautiful.

I live in Miami and can tell you what's up.

Depends greatly on where in Florida you want to go and what you want to do. You can easily spend a week in Orlando. Disney, Universal Studios, Epcot, Church street at night, Daytona beach about an hours drive from there.

August is an awful time of year to be in Florida.

Much better to go in winter to get out of the cold up north.

The gulf coast is best

atlantic for the fast side of Florida like Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
For a more relaxed place try the Gulf Coast Orlando is great for kids or if you are looking for amusement park entertainment.

My bedroom

Orlando is the number one place to go. Disney World and Universal studios just to name a couple.

It will be hott in August make sure you are close to the air conditioning

I hate the be Debbie-downer, but, to stay cool, stay under water, stay from hurricanes.

St Augustine is fabulous. I love Key West. Sarasota is very nice. Everyone loves Destin.

The Keys are really the only thing worth checking out in Florida.
