I like the way London has reinvented itself over the last fifty years or so. Things which didn't exist back then have become internationally-recognised landmarks. The 'London Eye' is probably now more recognised than the Riesenrad ('giant wheel') in Vienna. It's certainly bigger!

Great shots. Good to see my home city looking so well. And I love the South Bank, a great summer walk from Westminster Bridge all the way to Tate Modern.

Have you been on The Eye?

I was working in Canary Wharf (a couple of miles further east) at about the time you took those photos. It was a beautiful few days and amazing how a little sun can transform the city 🌞
