I’ve actually never been to the west coast. I’ve been to a lot of US states, but never to the west coast. One thing on my bucket list is to drive from east coast to west using historic Route 66 all the way to LA.

I’ve also always wanted to go to Seattle. I’ve heard they have an amazing jazz scene, and jazz is my thing.

@rocknroll I saw a sign that said “historic Route 66.” I’m sure it has an actual name like Main Street or whatever, but that’s not my point. I want to use that road, whatever it’s called, to drive across the country.

The big coastal cities, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and L.A. are all a little different. L.A. is the most different due to its size, geography and weather. But for the most part what they share are more progressive attitudes, access to nature (S.F. is the least accessible), nightlife and most any kind of lifestyle you can think of.

Haven't been to the west coast yet. I've been to Seattle tho, it was great in the early 2000s.

@Kypro Just don't call it that in front of local. I lived there for six or seven years. People lose their shit if it's not San Francisco or The City. Call it "Frisco" and they go in to convulsions. :)
