The big coastal cities, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and L.A. are all a little different. L.A. is the most different due to its size, geography and weather. But for the most part what they share are more progressive attitudes, access to nature (S.F. is the least accessible), nightlife and most any kind of lifestyle you can think of.
