Travel is not Fun Anymore

I was supposed to go to Thailand and China to see the Terracotta warriors in april. I put my deposit down and bought travel insurance.

I was hoping to bypass Beijing (been there and done that) but nope. part of the trip. Well China closes down the country, They will not issue visas and all i can get is 75% of my money back.

Why? no policy covers a country closing down. I am so angry right now. So I signed a travel voucher to move the policy to my next trip and i have 850.00 stuck in this travel agency. sigh.

@Soossie i have to use this 850 credit. i will keep looking for deals. Thailand with China was perfect but thailand alone was Phuket

@SW-User i have that loaded on my phone too. going to China was like going in the belly of the beast butthe price was right and i want to see the Terracotta warriors. I have been to Beijing and Shanghai already

my sister has been stuck in china and could jsut barely get out a day before the lock down even more jsut going there is a danger at the moment!

@akindheart i like chinese food but not hospital level :p and yeah years ago it might have been nice but until covid and lockdowns are over i'd avoid the place!

I had to threaten suit, and have a lawyer send a letter to get payment from travel insurance. As we get older, premiums skyrocket and their definition of pre-existing illnesses change, making collection very difficult.

@samueltyler2 Crum and Forster refused to pay for my cancelled trip to Thailand and China. Said that it doesn't cover Countries that close down so they were going to charge me 25% penalty. i am so mad

@Stereoguy i have been watching the youtube vidoes about convertingthe transit vans into a home. but they are pricey. so i looked at the little teardrop ones to tow and they are high too
