Travel is not Fun Anymore

I was supposed to go to Thailand and China to see the Terracotta warriors in april. I put my deposit down and bought travel insurance.

I was hoping to bypass Beijing (been there and done that) but nope. part of the trip. Well China closes down the country, They will not issue visas and all i can get is 75% of my money back.

Why? no policy covers a country closing down. I am so angry right now. So I signed a travel voucher to move the policy to my next trip and i have 850.00 stuck in this travel agency. sigh.

I had to threaten suit, and have a lawyer send a letter to get payment from travel insurance. As we get older, premiums skyrocket and their definition of pre-existing illnesses change, making collection very difficult.

@samueltyler2 Crum and Forster refused to pay for my cancelled trip to Thailand and China. Said that it doesn't cover Countries that close down so they were going to charge me 25% penalty. i am so mad

@akindheart is that private insurance or the travel agency? We buy outside insurance.
