Travel is not Fun Anymore

I was supposed to go to Thailand and China to see the Terracotta warriors in april. I put my deposit down and bought travel insurance.

I was hoping to bypass Beijing (been there and done that) but nope. part of the trip. Well China closes down the country, They will not issue visas and all i can get is 75% of my money back.

Why? no policy covers a country closing down. I am so angry right now. So I signed a travel voucher to move the policy to my next trip and i have 850.00 stuck in this travel agency. sigh.

my sister has been stuck in china and could jsut barely get out a day before the lock down even more jsut going there is a danger at the moment!

@popmol thanks for letting me know. This travel agency is UTO and they were offering great deals KNOWING that the country was closing.

@akindheart yeah my sister went there with a friend for a company that hired her to do her whatever she does there :p
i think its a stageplay and she had to teach it to the people there
she had to stay 2 weeks in lockdown than she actually caught covid and had to stay for 2 weeks in the hospital. very unsanitary, mold and stuff.
they did give food and such but if you aren't into chinese food that's the equivalent of bad hospital food i wouldn't go!

@popmol that is terrible. i went to Beijing and Shanghai years ago. i just wanted to see the Terracotta warriors. but they make you go to beijing. i am glad it is cancelled but they won't refund my money. i have to be honest, i hit the mcdonalds in Shanghai because of the food there

@akindheart i like chinese food but not hospital level :p and yeah years ago it might have been nice but until covid and lockdowns are over i'd avoid the place!

@akindheart yeah you'll be stuck for at least 2 weeks to 4 depending on if you had covid or not!
