Anyone been to Vegas lately?

First international trip in two years. Not sure what to expect, but it’s a change of scenery.

Vegas has become extremely unsafe. There are more gun killing in Las Vegas this year and last year than in St. Louis, which used to be the murder capitol of the United States.

Stay close to the BIG hotels and stay away from any loud noises or altercations. If you should be unfortunate to hear gunfire, hit the floor.

@Noworries72 I have no idea.

@Noworries72 Livingwell says he lives there, so he would probably know.

Okay, thanks. I’m not too concerned. Just coming from out of country…. It’s a bit of an adventure. @cherokeepatti
Avoid certain areas; there's syndicates that love killing/torturing tourists.

I cannot elaborate because the info I have is very dated. I wouldn't go unarmed.

Bears don’t seem to like it. @Amyrakunejo
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
Agreed… this will need to be an unarmed trip. @4meAndyou

@Noworries72 If you are flying, you can't bring weapons on a plane. ANY adult can buy aerosol sprays of a similar nature, like pepper spray, once they are IN Vegas. I checked the local laws for you.

I visited there some years back. Best to have a plan before you leave the hotel, knowing where you are going stops you from wandering around aimlessly or asking someone directions who might not have your best interests in mind.
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
Thanks…. I remember that walking distances can also be deceiving…. You can see it, but it might take a while to get there.@CastorTroy

Grew up there 🤷‍♀️

That’s an interesting perspective. It seems when I travel to Vegas, it’s always a road trip from LA. I’m always impressed how the city just rises out of the dessert: the countryside is beautiful… very unique. @Trippin

@Noworries72 A city built upon the principal of attracting tourist who enjoy loosing their money. Take a five minute walk off Fremont St...
Where they tell you not to... Visit the real Vegas.
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
Okay. That’s too bad; it’s not just Vegas: a couple of blocks from the Capitol in DC is shocking. @Trippin
