Down by the Afon Lwyd

Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia.
Sitting on a rock outcrop I saw the most beautiful sunset of my life as the clouds were bright orange underneath from the setting sun and in turn they reflected that light into the lake underneath making the water also look orange.
I will never forget that sunset.

Hebridean islands, Scotland, at sunset in autumn. Or the sun rising above Worcestershire, England in Spring. Cities - Jerusalem in the evening with the old city a golden haze.

Coming back to my childhood home for Christmas. My mom saved ice cream buckets and put them in the snow with lights under them. Combined with the trees around the house and the absolute darkness out there in the woods, it was an amazing site that filled me with joy.

@Sarah1 What a really good post/question. TY for sharing it. There are so many beautiful places I have been.

Earlier I posted about Canadian Boundary Waters and it is the most beautiful place I’ve seen but there are so many as reflected in the answers here.

I would like to add Arkansas, the Natural State, Cayman Islands and The Florida Keys.

For me... nature is prettier than buildings or paint colors.

I always choose Iceland. I've been there in the summer and winter. Summer is best to enjoy it but everything is more beautiful in the constant dusk of winter. Feels like you're always in a sunrise/sunset.

A small beautiful island in Greece

Beaches: Praaslin Seychelles, on our honeymoon
Mountains: Murren Switzerland, family trip
Forests: Muir Woods, California
Deserts: Bryce Canyon, Utah / Grand Canyon, Arizona
Cities: Paris, Rome

The isle of Skye, staying at Flodigarry and then Kinloch Lodge (via a visit to Talisker)

The Canadian Boundary Waters. Pristine natural condition for wildlife and wilderness.

Tahiti is pretty high up there on my list. The big island, and the city of Papeete, also Moorea.

I’ll go with the Hebrides too. Specifically, the boat journey from Arisaig to Eigg in the morning, with the majestic Cuillins on Skye in the distance. (The Cuillins look frightening rather than beautiful close up.)
