I am sick to death from listening to horrible people claiming that a rapist must be understood because that means that he was raped too.

SO WHAT? HE WAS RAPED! THAT MEANS HE SHOULD BE MORE SENSITIVE TO OTHER RAPE VICTIMS...NOT SOMEONE WHO WOULD TURN AROUND AND DO IT TO OTHERS BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO HIM!

If you are stabbed with a knife do you develop a compulsion to go around stabbing other people? NO!

Some people repeat the trauma they had done onto themselves in a way that hurt them, it's sickening. It's called the "cycle of trauma". They repeat how they were hurt unto others.

It’s just an excuse. More likely than not those who have endured the abuse and trauma want to do everything they can to not repeat the cycle and put that pain on someone else.
