Were you or anyone you knew a victim of child melestation? 😖

I was a victim.of child melestation. I was in grade 6. We were living in these townhouses. And few doors down was our neighbor who she knew my mom really well. They were relatives. Really religious. She had a husband too was religious. New the holy book back and front. They had two little children. Her husband was a nice man. Or so I assumed. He would take me and my then 3 siblings out to play hide and seek with his kids. And go for long drives. One saterday, off from school me and my sister were invited to play at his house while the wife went to my mothers to hang out. Everything was fun at first until I opened my eyes in this empty room upstairs. My feet were up. I look down and his hands are down my pants. I was so shocked and confused and scared...so many emotions. 😑🙉🙊😳😰😓😶😐..Then when i get up, still trying to grasp on what just happened..almost as if I blacked out..black magic or something...he was in the other room now. He asked woulď you like to play doctor? Me still shoooken, trying to catch my breath respond with a no. Then he answers back with a good.....?!! As if he was testing me?! He was the sicko who threw me unconsious so he could do his sick deed on me! Ya so until this day I haven't told anyone. Not even my own mother. I was afraid she will probably think it is my fault, even as a kid, i had that feeling wow. And there were moments where she will recall the past and say it is my fault..so thank god i didn't tell her that because she would of reminded me of that too. Ya and is no wonder I don't go to anyone is house without feeling so awkward and uncomfortable. And is no wonder i can't pass the friggin driving test. I get so tense. This old instuctor hid on me.. but ya trauma at its worse.

I don't post about such things or talk about it in details from a personal perspective or so casually.

It takes lot to do that.

While I condemn what happened to you, I hope you understand why saying what you said about his daughter is extremely disturbing. It normalizes the exact things that happened to you too.

Take time and think about such words and how they affect others who experienced trauma too. Nothing to do with karma or god.

Please tell your mom. As a mom, I would want to know if it happened to my child

My mother and all her sisters and brothers were molested by their dad for years

I must add that my mother never got over it and lived with depression her whole life

My friend’s father, when I was eleven. I never told anyone because I really liked my friend and I figured I wouldn’t be allowed to see her. What I did do was have subsequent sleepovers only at my home; I never stayed at hers again.

My daughter was by her stepbrothers. It may not help but I am sorry this happened to you. You should tell someone , a friend or your mom someone. My daughter told a friend of hers before I found out.

@nightjourney You can get free help google Rann they are a place to get help
Repete · 70-79, M
She was lucky she had a friend to talk to and help her.
She had some of your same thoughts worried what I would think and not wanting to make things hard on me.i did support her after I found out and would have if she had come to me first.
You see I worked most nights and wife ( now ex wife) worked days I didn’t get a lot of time with my daughter. That didn’t help and set up a bad situation for her. One I should have seen as a possible problem but was tied up in work ( poor excuse)
I am glad you are doing better it is a long road sometimes. Faith and religion sometimes helps a lot. @nightjourney

@SpiritualMan

The bible was written in a larger context. If a nation completely skews marriage laws to become an evil system, do you REALLY think God wants us to take part in it?

Well, hence the command to avoid partaking in the things of the world, and commandments to not depart one from another, husband and wife. The system may be evil but marriage is not, nor is it a thing of the world.

All you and your wife need do is concern yourselves with the Word, the rest will take care of itself remember if God is for you who can be against you?

I am sorry to hear this, and sadly you well never recover from this and all i can advise is get some specialised counselling.

I see many clients who have been abused as a child, they NEVER get over this
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Dave321 I do relise this, and she is a survivor but the memories will live with her on a daily basis
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Dave321 it’s true many really don’t get over it. Sexual abuse is akin to murder of a child’s soul. They are never the same

I am sorry as man to you and everyone who had to go through such situation. Sometimes when you hear or read such incidents I feel sick of myself as a man.. cause then tomorrow they might come a time no women will find it easy to look or trust a man ..
Larksky · M
@Jenny1234 its difficult for female to be in physical relationship with someone if she had an traumatic experience
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Larksky That’s just one of the reasons why people need to get as much help as possible. My mother never ever got help because she did not believe in counsellors or psychiatrists

My classmate was molested by our maths teacher when she was thirteen. She transferred to another school and the experience just wrecked her.

God what a hell to cope with. I'm so sorry you were hurt like that. Thankfully no I have not but I've known many people. Everyone talks about wanting some kind of mob justice on people who do that... but it happens all the time and gets covered up so much. :(

In late summer of 2012, I learned that my sister had been molested by my stepfather. Whether it was a single incident or repeated incidents, I do not know. The crime(s) occurred in the time period of September 1976 - January 1977. I was not living in the family home during that time period. My sister went on to live a normal life. Through online research, I learned that the stepfather died in July 2003. It is truly unfortunate that he died without ever having been arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned for his crime(s).

@SpiritualMan I'm not assuming. you may have only good intentions. You ask what tactics they use and i explained that your posts are one of those tactics. Not at all saying that's your intention. I'll give an example ,i met a man here on a post much like this one he claimed to be a survivor and he had all the right answers claimed abuse by family. We messaged for around two weeks and everything was cool. He said he had a 10 year old son and not having been groomed himself asked me if i could explain grooming ,trusting him i did describe one of the ways i was groomed. His next reply was oh wow i bet that will work on my 12 year old neighbor thanks so much . So this can be a learning experience for you just as it was for me.Also i reported his messages here and admin dealt with it from there
kodiac · 22-25, M
@SpiritualMan I was part of what you speak of as a kid and yes youbwill be shocked to see that much of it is controlled by religious power

No I don't fortunately. My mother had a daughter before she married my father. This daughter didn't always live with my parents but my father treats her well and she's well known to him since age 3. HOWEVER everyone was hyper vigilant about leaving her alone with him. Her father refused to relinquish her to her stepfather when he arrived alone in New York to retrieve her on my mother's behalf and even when in my parents home she was never left home alone with him. Why? B/c while my father is a great man who would NEVER look at a child with a sinister glint in his eye, if some kid ends up sexually abused, tricked out, raped and killed, etc. 90%+ of the time it is the child's mother and her man in handcuffs for harming or leaving the child in questionable care!!

@nightjourney It was his "uncle". I'm not sure it was his real uncle but he called him that. He made my friend perform oral on him while I was there. At the time, I thought it was sort of fun but now that I look back on it and realize how young we were, it changes my whole perspective.

@TimingQuasars I didn't go to another priest my foster dad was raping me ,i won't say molest or abuse because people can't understand boys can be raped just like girls .i told the priest because he was the only one i trusted. If you don't believ me ,not that it matters ,google Pennsylvania priest abuse grand jury and see where i did report him.Are you reading my responses? I told you why i stopped fighting. I was a foster kid going to cops was not an option. Your comments like lol or smh lol are really insulting and i believe you are dangerous.

I'm sorry you sent through. I would recommend talking to a therapist. I don't mean that as in "you're crazy", but things like this leads to trauma and things like PTSD.
