The Race to Slow Down, and Eventually Halt, the Ageing Process

I sometimes wonder if by the time I get to 70 or so years of age, my generation will be the first to know what it's like to see the ageing process halted, and then reversed, due to the phenomenal advances that are now being made in medicine and genetics.
If treatments for old age become available (and just as importantly, affordable), I'm not so sure I'd take advantage of them. This may sound strange to some, but I don't want to live forever, or even to the age of 150. I'm having enough trouble as it is adapting to how the world is now, so can you imagine how weird things will be when the year 2100 arrives?

I would be fine with the wrinkles. It is what it is.
Ageing gracefully has its own charm.

I was sort of hoping progress might be a little faster than that! I'm all in on halting and reversing the ageing process as soon as possible. This would provide a bridge to reach the end goal of a fully prosthetic existence, extending my life span into millennium...

I'm not convinced it's not all bollocks, life expectancy is actually going down in places like the UK.

@AntisocialTroll Going down? I know that it's going down in Russia, but England?
