In my experience, men cheat because they aren't getting their physical needs met by their partner. Women cheat because they aren't getting their emotional needs met by their partner.

This whole statement is based in nothing. People-man or woman- cheat for a wide variety of reasons. Some are afraid of commitment. Some people do it because they have self esteem issues. Some people may have issues with their current relationship but be unable or unwilling to leave it for whatever reason and so seek solace in another person. Some people are sex addicts or adrenaline junkies. Cheating is really very complex. I suggest reading books on it, there are many good ones out there.

Men cheat because they fear or refuse to actually emotionally commit to someone and be vulnerable with someone. Or they think they aren't going to get sex out of the current relationship.

Women cheat because they have been emotionally abandoned by the one they love because that person can't emotionally commit to someone.

Working on yourself to have healthier relationships.

My opinion is that you're 22-25 age range so maybe you get a pass because the brain is still developing till the age of 25.

Cheating hurts women very badly, just like it hurts men, and the one doing the cheating whether they're a man or a woman is hurting their partner.

The real issue is accountability, which most men seem to lack. Being irresponsible, selfish and destructive is not an accident. It might make you feel better about your choice, but it doesn't make it okay to cheat on your partner when they believe you are committed to them.
