Most people today dislike their current jobs, some even hate them and/or the people they're forced to work with but they're stuck because they have no other choice. If you feel anxious or regretful going to your job, the time has likely passed to start looking for another job. Begin looking today for the position that better suits you. It's out there, all you have to do is ask friends, network, respond to postings, etc. One thing is guaranteed, if you do nothing - you can expect nothing.
Stay positive and actively seek a job while you still have one. Currently applied for a better paying job with my old boss where I work myself and awaiting their response during these holidays when most people are out. Apprehensive but patient. The day you put in your notice will be sweeter. Patience is definitely a virtue. You can do it, good luck.
