Do u believe that breaking up with someone is sometimes " traumatic " ?

I noticed a woman the other day when I was out and about.
I overheard her phone conversation.
She was saying how he last relationship was truly traumatic.
She was abused. And she was neglected. She was like in a daze.
You could tell, because she looked like she saw a ghost.
It was the emotions and pain in her eyes.
She talked about how she lost everything.
What do you think ?
Do you think that breaking up with someone in a marriage or a relationship
can be considered traumatic.
I'm listening.

Yes I do think it can be traumatic When you’ve been deeply hurt neglected or treated badly ending the relationship doesn’t mean the pain just goes away Sometimes it can even change the way a woman sees life Healing from that can take a long time.

@Ann99 Yes, I agree. The healing can take a while for some.

Short term pain, long term gain.

Yes, I believe it can be very much that way. Sometimes people become so intertwined in a relationship that their identity is the relationship. When it ends, they lose who they thought they were.

@WanderingHelplessly That is so true. It can definitely change someone for the worse especially if it was a bad marriage. Thanks for your response.

It could be if one person is deeply in love. Reason is, someone is basically being robbed of their emotions and hopes.

If a relationships slowly crumbles, it's more of a relief but if the breakup is abrupt, yeah it can hurt like h3ll.

@SunSetStrut Slowly crumbles. I like how you put things into perspective there.
