Enjoying all God has for me!!
As Joe Walsh said: "It was a lot nicer being in my 20's back in the '70's than it is being in my 70's in the '20's!!" I AGREE 100%!!!!
Even my aches have pains!!!
But I'm still here to enjoy what I CAN enjoy!!!

The meaning of life for me is to enjoy things that feel good. There, I said it.

Learning. How to navigate a world where we are struggling to provide for our own needs, our children's needs and other people's needs. To have endurance and perseverance, experience pain, separation and loss and develop empathy for others. To experience the consequences of sin and understand what it's like to be separated from God then make a choice whether we strive for connection and relationship with him or keep going our own way. One thing I know for certain is, life is harder and more painful without knowing God.

i'm ok .. a bit lost for a few years/decades but finding my footing again and stabilizing

Given my age and cancers, I'm doing pretty dang good. Active, involved in productive things. At this stage, that is all I can hope for: not be a drain or drag on my kids, appreciate that I had a longer, fuller, more enjoyable life's journey than I ever expected and appreciate how well my kids and grandkids have turned out.
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
@dancingtongue your kids and grandkids are your legacy. If they are doing well it's because of what you taught them and the support and nurture you gave them. I'm praying that God will heal your cancers and revive and renew both health and spirit for you xx

..be good stewards to the planet and life around us, which collectively we have failed at miserably

I am not suicidal, but after losing my granny, I feel different.
I really don't know , but I find myself becoming more careless each day.
Life felt much more meaningful when she was alive.

The meaning of Life is to returning back to gratitude for me at this very moment. In gratitude I become quiet, my greed lowers, my eyes open, my heart opens.
And I see everything as temporary and I move away from the entitlement how everything is given and I get closer to seeing things more vividly. I extract through my eyes the vital energy of everything and everything is alive, and I am simultaneously here and everywhere it feels.
And then I ground myself to my breathe and I smile...
There's no meaning, yet everything is meaningful.

I'm stuck in a catch 22 situation in life and I'm miserable.
The meaning, currently, is to survive. Not live.

Currently it's just my son. Raising him alone occupies my life so thoroughly I don't have time for much else.

The meaning of life to me is being the most human, finding the beauty in natural things, building things up rather than tearing them down.
Also leaving a legacy and being a good enough parent to where you know your kids will make it on their own when you are gone.

I have found meaning in improving the intellectual and physical abilities that I have been blessed with in order to make a small part of the world a better place and to help people wherever possible.

Time for honesty: I’m not doing very well.
Anyway, I’d like to think that the meaning of life is a way for the universe to understand itself. We’re the only living thing that we know of that looks up and tries to make sense of it all.

Meaning of life to me is to enjoy the little things, and to try different experiences to learn what I enjoy, and then do those more. I wouldn't say it's hedonism directly, but something like that. I'm not super social, but people are very important in making life enjoyable. And it's good to remember that I am a person too, so I should listen to my needs and wants and pursue them unapologetically.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
We live in hell. No one is absolutely certain what happens in the afterlife. When people are not sure there are consequences for their actions, you get a true sense of how people really are. How you lived life is a test for judgment.
I feel different...just ...grateful...I'm seeing things from a different perspective...I can't explain it

Should've wrote it down...I figured this out one time. But now it's gone.

life has no meaning, in and of itself... it is, by now, an old bag, battered and torn, into which we try to stuff memories, experiences - good and bad - to show we have psssed this way...
when we die, the bag is emptied onto the bonfire of the vanities, and passed to the next unfortunate being, to start their own collection...

For me it is recognizing what feels right, and insisting on it for oneself despite the all too easily available mental options which just don't feel right. Alive then is the friction felt between personal ideals and the crummy reality of the world.
