I've rarely felt lonely, to be alone with only minor annoyances like mice and bugs, my usual routine is I think what it's going to be till I croak:

1. A blend of all three of my interests, music playing, books being read or in audiobooks, and a film watch at least once a week.

2. Being on SW for mild stimulation, and wanting the good to prevail.

Yeah, my dog is my hero

My kids first…then my orange female tabby…then my family & friends
@marsbar how nice. I love my family but it's like a different company or support , the one that pets give
marsbar · F
@Lovebird Yes, but my cat can be quite I dependent too, so she doesn’t always like to be snuggly.
@marsbar they all have different personalities right? Even if they are loving other times they just want to be independent

My dogs help me. They never complain or are too busy.
@Livingwell true, so lovely
@Livingwell they accept us how we are

The thought of Alex box liking me and knowing he’s with me somehow

Serving my cats. And a good book. The latter has become much harder to find as our society continues to kill creativity in a sea of AI regurgitation.
@dancingtongue that is sad, one doesn't know what is truly real sometimes when it comes to lots of things... I love AI but I see the bad side of it, like some things feel less human right
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@Lovebird And I see the value of AI in short-cutting a lot of tedious work in many different fields, particularly research and archiving, that leads to better outcomes. Unfortunately, I think too much of the rush into it are solely for cost-cutting and job elimination, particularly related to service and creativity.

Pets are the best supporters. I dont have any currently, but I remember when I was younger, I always found comfort from my dog and bunny rabbit. It's like they just knew when I needed that extra cuddle.
@Sutten so special and pure. ❤

I no longer have pets, and I find that I don't often FEEL lonely. IF I do, I think about how bad my allergies got when I had a cat...how EXPENSIVE the vet bills were when I had dogs, AND I remember the Rage-o-holic third ex to remind myself that being alone is VERY, VERY good.
4meAndyou · F
@Lovebird I live in a large apartment building. If I want to SEE people I can go hang out in the lobby.
@4meAndyou ahh the allergies 🙁
4meAndyou · F
@Lovebird I know. It's getting better now, though.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Be away from people. That usually helps me to not feel lonely.
@CrazyMusicLover I understand. I feel that way with certain people 🤔 but as well I find comfort in solitude so. Just as well as I enjoy some people company. How have you been btw
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Lovebird I think I am lonelier than I want to admit to myself. Or maybe I just can't picture what kind of company would make me feel better at this phase of my life. I feel bad about myself and my life so my natural instinct is to avoid people to not feel even more ashamed of myself.
On the other hand, now I have a lot of alone time and I really enjoy it.
I never feel lonely... Just alone if that makes sense? And nothing really helps but music honestly. I just sing
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Just go off and do my own thing.
Not a lot. I usually distract myself until it passes rather than trying to solve it.
@Lovebird a gift for my sister:

Still lots more to do though 😅
@Lovebird thank you ☺
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Nothing much these days, I have a hard time connecting with people even when I talk to them, I feel completely closed off and alienated in general.

Laughing helps sometimes.
