Don't you love when someone messages you and...

You ask them their hobbies or how their evening is going etc. and they just ... answer. For example, their hobbies reply could be "fishing, reading and bowling".

Sometimes I am SO tempted to say, 'And how about you Baybreeze? ' but I never do. I'm sure many would stop talking or get defensive. But does that just kinda make you feel this emptiness(if they continue to simply only answer) ?

I dont usually even reply to my messages unless i already know them
GoFish ·
ah you want them to ask about you?
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
There's quite a few people here who have no idea how self oriented they are. It's boring.

I remember one guy telling me to keep asking him questions about himself, like an interview, because he liked talking about himself 😂
Jenny1234 · 56-60, M
I know that type. When the conversation is one-sided all the time I lose interest.

it’s actually a huge red flag when you’re having a conversation with someone (especially a potential boyfriend/girlfriend) and they’re not asking questions about you. It shows they are very self-absorbed and probably the worst type of partner to be with

I hate when i put effort in a convo and don't get the same in return

It doesn’t occur to some people to take an interest in others. It’s weird but then they complain about not being able to make friends.

If anyone messages me that i dont know , i mute them.

If i know them, they already know.

Too many people have lost the art of conversation for sure. Either they just talk about themselves or continually avoid answering questions.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I'm sure it's nothing personal some people are just not very good at communication
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@Justmeraeagain This is about 80% of conversations 😞
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Baybreeze Seems like a lot of people go on social media because they want to be heard and they are not always in tune with the idea that other people may want to be heard as well.
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@Justmeraeagain I'd say you hit the nail on the head..🙁
