how do you handle 'worry'

a lot of it with me is related to the times i'm in, at the moment and for a while now, i'm really concerned for my country, i don't need to say anymore really, you only need to watch the news, media reports, and many youtube videos to see the state of britain now, the towns and cities, the government and everything that's going down now.

my elderly mother and other loved ones have said ' don't worry about what you're not in control of ' just concentrate on your own little life...and that's great advice and i do try to, but then i see reports, news alerts, youtube videos and i start worrying again??

Your mother sounds wise. That's the reason I quit watching that stuff. Most of them are fear mongers and liars with misleading thumbnails anyway.

@campfire thanks so much, i really do have a lovely mother, i adore her and always try to follow and live according to what she advises me, i do agree with you about the news now as well, very misleading and 'conflicting' too, you see one news report now...then minutes later another report is broadcasted which contradicts that report, so..yes it's hard, but thanks for answering, i really appreciated it.

Everyone in my whole family intends to stop reading, listening to and watching the news.
It is the prime source of anxiety in the world.
There’s a YouTube channel called ‘good news’ l, watch that instead. It’s only good news
