What are your feelings on this, do you agree or disagree?

The saying "it is what it is" and the song "Let it be" by the Beatles are pretty much the same idea? The saying "it is what it is" basically means even though the situation isn't exactly what you want, it's pretty much unchangeable and you might as well just accept it and move it.
I feel the song "Let it be" kind of conveys the same message. Even though things aren't what you what them to be ("when I find myself in times of trouble") sometimes it's best to just accept them and move on ("mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, Let it be")
Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. It just seems like they're both making the same point.
And when I hear people say they don't like the saying "it is what it is" I wonder how they feel about that song lol

It's a good song and I don't mind the saying. Sometimes there's nothing better you can say than 'It is what it is'. A year and four months ago my husband collapsed unexpectedly and died of a brain hemorrhage. People keep saying "how are you doing?" The only thing I can say is it is what it is because there no way they could understand more than that unless they've been through that too.
