@LordShadowfire My last name (starting with an 'S') isn't too bad either. My family name, the name of the lake where I live, and the name of my home town – it's the same word, the same name.

Not sure I understand your Grandma's view but all those names are fine to me!
Many of the most common Western European and American names are those old Hebrew ones.
One of my sisters is called "Sarah" which I think is an Old Testament name; we have a Peter and an Andrew in the family, but most of our family's names were not Biblical ones as far as I know.
They are old English ones though, so likely from all sorts of sources.
