@durinsBane1983 I’ve seen this in action at work. One young woman caused trouble between two cousins (older, around 50 years old) not speaking to each other for nearly a year. Those cousins were very close to another before this happened. The woman who caused the problems is a narcissist. She apparently thought she’d gain something by doing it. I think she was extremely jealous of those cousins. My friend figured out who was behind and got them to go talk to one another about what happened. They made up and apologized to one another and vowed to not listen to things like that until they talked to one another. The same woman also got angry at me after trying to get me to buy a car from the used car lot where her husband was a salesman. He had told her that he would give her a finder’s fee of about $200 for every customer she brought to him that bought a car. I never once mentioned being in the market for another car. She tried to do a hard sell me, quoting the price, the car details, how much it would cost etc. I told her I wasn’t going to buy another car soon. She waited till I went on vacation for 2 weeks and when I came back to work my supervisor was hostile to me making barbed remarks. I never knew what things that woman told her. She would never tell why she was hostile so it was something pretty nasty apparently. And the thing was that I respected that supervisor and she fell for the crap the other woman was spreading about me.
