I'm afraid to tell anyone irl that I've been sober for over a week.

I didn’t tell anyone… until people noticed and asked… I simply said “eh, it’s not really doing it for me anymore”

It’s nobody’s business unless you feel like making it so.

Sobriety is a very personal journey, and different for everyone.

Just stay strong and move towards the sobriety you desire. It's YOUR sobriety, no-one else's. A support group can help and it doesn't have to be 12 Step: there are other options.

No need to tell anyone. This is for you and you alone. One day at a time and celebrate every day that passes. Don't look at the long-term goal, each individual day is the goal to achieve. Good luck and stay strong!
