My two cats keep reminding me I am not alone--unless they choose for me to be so. 🤪

Seriously, the first time around -- when I lost my wife to cancer -- was harder. The second time -- losing my partner to COPD -- has been an easier adjustment. Part experience, part getting involved in volunteer work, part probably attributable to age and less need for social interaction for social purposes only. But it does vary on mood and situation/circumstance.

Definitely variable and depends on the situation. I hate being alone where I don't feel safe, especially "alone" among people I don't know. I love being alone at home if I need to relax and just enjoy myself on my own terms.

Just something I'm so used to now. I know I never want to be in a live in relationship again. Too set in my not being told how to do anything. Do miss companionship

Im mostly at peace with it .

Its better than fear, threat etc.

And with my peace comes clarity and tranquility. And i really love that .
