Positive all the way!! The beauty of it is if starts annoying me or changing my mood towards the bad side, I close the app and do something else. Easy peasy

I'd have to say, it fills a void...

@eyeno hey!! That's me rolling by & you didn't even say hi. Rude! 🤨

If it was depressing I wouldn't be here 🫠

You come here to read my stories and I know it.

Some people make it depressing tbh.
Gives me hemorrhoids and an attitude problem.

@OlderSometimesWiser You're funny :)

Both really but the good far outweighs the bad

I test out my one liners here, if they do pretty good. I'll write them down and tell them to my Imaginary audience on Saturday nights.
Lets see how this one goes over. I don't have this in joke yet, but it really happened
See this only happens in Wisconsin. Couple years ago my kid and coworkers were given quite the shock when they spotted a whole live cow in the back seat of a car going through the drive thru at the restaurant they work at.
Perhaps even more shocking was that this happened at 1pm, not 1am, so it’s at least less likely that the driver was drinking at the time.
My kid never did say whether he ordered a salad or a buger…there’s also got to be a joke in there somewhere about it being the first time anything related to a cow was actually at the restaurant.

I've been around since EP. It has different effects on me at different times. Overall it's positive. There's a lot of caring people here. But I need breaks, usually when I'm really depressed or anxious it's best for me to be away from people in any form.

Ive had a full spectrum of impacts from SW.
- When i first joined it was laughter and fun and a sense of acceptance.
- Then it was a sense of verification and false power and support of my developing toxic rhetoric.
- Then the good stuff started to happen - abitly to look at myself, objectively.....and recognize myself.
All in all its been good. Its given me knowledge, and allowed me to grow as a person. Hopefully to be better.
I see it as a practice space. A space to discuss, learn, support others when i can, walk away when i need to ..... and the freedom to do both when it suits me.
Mostly it allows me to guage myself, my reactions, practice self awareness and resilience..... which i desperately need to put into pracice in my offline life.
I have wasted too much time here in years gone by......avoiding issues in rl.
....but then, at the same time, this place was a refuge from it ....a sanctuary.
I think its what you make it.
If its draining and negative.... then you need to change your approach to it.
If it's positive and supportive.... and or entertaining, then thats good. That's where you want it to be.
I think, if you're open to it ....places like SW can help you stop being reactive, allow you to be honest with yourself, and move towards actively creating better mental and emotional habits that support your real life.
It can become what you make it.
And as someone else said here.....it can also teach you when to recognize to walk away - to choose not to engage .
...which is also a very important life skill.
This is a great question 💯

@OogieBoogie This is a great answer as well :) Thank you so much .
I dont let the negative around me. I have enough positive here to keep me going
IAmJess · 22-25, F
Well I left and didn't come back for six years. It was not positive. I've been back now about a week and it's the same, but I think I'm better able to filter the peeps I interact with. :)
loreee · 18-21, F
I feel like depending on who I talk to, I'm either in a good mood or just super irritated.
Jackhoff · 46-50, M
My mood and energy are mostly positive and I try not to let SW impact my mood.
first time it was pretty good. more recently it's been quite negative.
TheFragile · 46-50, M
It pretty much has no impact on me. I'm impartial to SW.
exexec · 70-79, C
Positive. I avoid depressing stuff like politics.
Nevertooold · 56-60, M
All I'll say is....it used to be fun:)
