Do you still get angry for something that you know is not right but you're used to anyway?

What is it?

Sometimes I wonder if I am in the wrong for wanting my life to be better. Because better for me requires people around me to level up but they are not willing to.

They see me selfish for asking them to change. But see, I had to change again and again and again because it is what I felt I had to do to keep living for us and to help us thrive.

So I am used to everything. And still in the rare times I actually voice out wanting better ... why am I suddenly the bad guy?

I'm not sure if I would say I am angry, but I do feel sad about the way my boyfriend is to me. It's not always straightforward to change things when you know you have to leave, especially in situations where it's not always easy. My dad once told me to either be content or change it. When I attempted to change it, the outcome was always the same as it was before.

I am way past expecting things to be "right" or "Just" or "fair".Thats not how things work on the African plains, so I dont expect it.. Study the system, see how it works for those it does work for and take advantage of it. You are never going to save the world. but it you do it right, you might save yourself and those closest to you..😷

If I compared what I SHOULD be receiving in life I'd go looney daily alone. 😭 People take, take, take but as soon as I need even 1%.. POOF! Gone. Lol

That is the point of the debacle. If a person changes and it benefits the lot, is it really too much for that person to ask that the lot changes their mindset so they can all work together for the betterment of everyone? It just feels unfair to be the one who always has to change.

But then they say they are growing, just not in the way I desire for them to.

It's a clash on perspectives.

I'm open to be enlightened if you have any wise advice.

For me, my point is this. I always aim for growth. I just wish the people I love to grow with me. I can't be the only one looking forward for a better change. It hurts to be looking forward to a better tomorrow, when the ones around you are not willing to lift a hand and turn the page. When the only ending they see is a dead end, and the one you constantly work for is a next chapter. We really cannot see eye to eye.

@Casheyane it's the reason standing alone is a blessing and a curse, you don't have to rely on anyone to provide what you want. You also don't have anyone to rely on to provide you with more

@Justafantasy It's sad actually. But I've gotten used to it that I don't think about it often.

But sometimes I let myself think of it. And everytime, I realize it's sad.
