@Really Don't get me wrong, sometimes the something to do is to relax. I'm not by any means an ambitious workaholic. Something to do doesn't have to be productive. Though I would counter that there is always something to learn. I can't imagine no longer learning anything.
The main thrust was that life doesn't have a finish line, so wherever you set your goals is arbitrary to begin with. Which in turn makes success or failure in life arbitrary as well.
