What are you grieving?

Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
The deaths of two important people in my life. 😢

@ImpeccablyImperfect thank you sweetie
I’m still grieving the loss of my mother last year, and the fact that my best friend has moved out of the Bay Area.
At my age, it’s more a cumulative effect.

@Mamapolo2016 That is more profound than it seemed at first glance. Each new feeling of grief brings back memories of all the others that we thought we had come to grips with. Not as strong and heartbreaking as the fresh hurt, to be sure.....but still there.

Sometimes "my cup runneth over" and even my eyes leak.
@bowman81 I’m working on accepting that nothing lasts forever, and celebrating that I had their companionship and love. Some people never have that.

It’s those empty spaces in a day they used to fill.

The woman I loved more than life.

I’ve had a difficult week grieving for my mother who passed away exactly a year ago.

So very many things. I don't think I've ever been afforded the opportunity, nor properly allowed to grieve any of the major tragedies and losses in my life. I always am expected to be "the strong one" while everyone around me loses their shit and goes to pieces. I'm not made of stone. Everyone just treats me like I'm supposed to be.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
I lost a best friend yesterday. I’ve never seen anyone so not ready to go even tho she was sick. She fought to the last day! Heartbreaking!
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@Handfull1 very sorry for your loss

The kitten we had to euthanize earlier this month and the necessary upcoming change in dynamics I have with someone I had let myself grow too close to.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
The loss of my artistic drive and therefore a part of my identity. Grief and confusion.
That I will be out of contact with my closest friend for sometime.

A lot of things.

Namely, a future that was taken away from me before I had a chance to experience it.
twistedrope · 26-30, M
