What do you think the United States will be like in a century from now?

Maybe like the Mad Max films? Lmao.

for cultureal and demographic trends i tend to lean on the PEW research center. But 100 is too far away. No way to predict tech or economic trends That is just so far out....Might be able to toy with your question at say 25 years out.
@robertsnj so what in twenty than? I agree that 100 years is to vast a time.

@DarkHeaven the question is still too vast. I think the person who asked was being tongue and cheek as opposed to seroius. But if was a seroius question it is still too broad. For instance,

1 ) demographics, sub divided into types of education / race wealth lines ect
2) economics which could be sub divided by intertional / GNP and domestic / GDP
3) cultural changes (changes in values at a macro level )
4) relgious trends segregated from values and culture
5) technological and 25 years is still pretty far out for solid tech preditions)

and more it is just too broad and honestly i think this thread was set up for an introspection considering Mad Max was a proposal for a possibility
@robertsnj I wouldn’t even assume to know intent. That’s also pretty hard to try and know definitely and mostly just guess.

@DarkHeaven i would offer up i am not an authority but resources I think are sound are Pew Research / Zogby Internatioanal (book from them on this is "The Way We'll Be" I like the trend analysis in Mirco Trends by Mark Penn and E. Kinney Zalesne . Brooks and Aspen instutite may good sources for think tanks and the Economic Inst may be a descent source for economics. it gets labelled as left leaning but do does every economic group that rejects the Supply Side economic model. As I list these sources I would offer up I by proxy and so unqualied to tackle small pieces of this question but if i had to dig that is some of the places I would go to.
@robertsnj all good, and sources I use as well. Agreed.

@robertsnj To be honest, I saw the question on Reddit and it made a good discussion, so I decided to ask it here and see if it did the same.
@SubstantialKick I do think it’s an interesting thought exercise. obviously too many variables to predict with any level of anything even approaching any level of theorized accuracy, but it is an interesting question.
