People suck so much.

I'm trying to reconnect with someone after somebody else slandered and lied to them about me. Its been months so hopefully it goes well..

Why didn't this person come to you and ask if you'd said or done the things the slanderer accused you of? Why would they just believe the slanderer and disconnect from you? I'd be pretty annoyed at them for believing it, because they clearly think you ARE capable of doing the things you're accused of.

@Richard65 i am annoyed because i wish they did trust me, unfortunately they had a reason to believe it. It was horrible timing and not a good look.

Luckily I've saved everything i feel like i would need to show them, but i need them to agree to talk first.

@PetalsOfLilac I see, that clarifies it - circumstances aligned to present the wrong picture of events. I'm sorry that happened, it's often difficult to express yourself accurately through messages online. I can tell this means a lot to you. I hope you manage a reconciliation with this person.

@Jenny1234 I eventually would for that reason but id prefer to wait to have the best chance of them understanding
