Does talking about your problems help you?

FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
Nobody cares. I have to deal with it myself
Lostpoet · M
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
Not usually. At least not for me.
NewBeginnings7790 · 41-45, F
If it’s with someone who I think actually wants to take the time to listen and talk them out with me. But that’s something I don’t have…
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
Talking to someone wise and not judgemental is invaluable.
@AlchemyFox
How often do you get to do that?
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
Not until theres annother place, most don't like to talk here
Musicman · 61-69, M
There is no one I trust enough to talk with.
HannahSky · F
Usually, if I'm talking to the right person
UndercoverBard · 31-35, M
Ynotisay · M
Nope. I don't talk about my problems with other people. Rare occasions I'll bring something up to my partner but my problems aren't her responsibility. They're mine.
ArtieKat · M
I read, years ago, that thinking about difficulties in one's life as "problems" implies that there are solutions. Some things we have to learn to live with and through - like the weather.
Iwillwait · M
Not typically/usually.
Sometimes if I need to process or figure something out, then it does benefit to involve another's perspective on the situation.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
NO, I am not interest in talking

Male point of view
It depends on why I'm talking about them. If I'm talking about my problems to find clarity, and to purge them, that can help. If I'm talking about them to complain and to keep reactivating the negative feelings about them, that helps me hang onto them. I don't want that.
djjohnson · 41-45, M
Depends on who I’m talking to and what kind of problems I’m talking about. Sometimes saying things out loud helps me see the solution easier. Sometimes a person can respond in a way that helps. But the opposite can also be true.
kaden · 22-25
It does actually
Torsten · 36-40, M
nope. I keep my problems to myself and deal with it. People normally come to me with their problems, not the other way around. I mean in person. Online is a bit different. Thats more give and take considering all you can do is talk
elafina · 36-40, F
Sometimes.. at least in one stage of dealing with them. Then there has to come the stage of silence and looking forward or inward. But at a point it does help.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
It's good to get recognition for your concerns.
It could be you just need a different perspective and so forge a new way forward in your thoughts and actions.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Yes, it feels good to let it out. Even better when there's someone who already overcame similar issues and can give me a relevant input.
TexChik · F
It depends on the problem and the person I am talking to, but generally, yes...for me anyway.
It can help release the charge that can get stuck within but talking just on its own isn't enough.
Convivial · 26-30, F
Definitely.. Two major reasons... You realise you're not alone, and they can offer different insights
robb65 · 56-60, M
I have a really short list of people to talk to about problems so mostly have to sort it out by myself.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
Kinda if I’m talking to someone with knowledge of my problem and that knowledge could be useful
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
Alot of the time. Especially if it involves someone calming me down. Lol. I'm wound a little tight these days 😢
Occasionally. I am pretty good at working through them myself. Loner here.
Lostpoet · M
No, because Nobody believes me which is fcked up because I don't lie about anything.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
I always tell Luna. It's very cathartic...or just talk to myself. Win Win.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
Usually not. Some quiet, alone time works better for me in most cases.
No, because I’m the only one who listens
Yaz69 · 36-40, M
Atleast u get solutions about ur problems.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Yep with the right person
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
Yes or just writing them to myself.
Juxdia · 26-30, F
I never talk about my problems.
Elessar · 26-30, M
Depends on with who
Keeper · M
Face your fears. Always.
SW-User
No not really
SW-User
Jexie · 22-25, F
It does, as long as I feel like whoever I'm talking to actually cares.
