I'm sitting here at my volunteer job, completely alone (when I'm very much not supposed to be by myself) because nobody else turned up.

I saw a post on here just before that said "you're hotter than you think you are" and despite knowing it was very much not aimed at me, I still dared to hope. It doesn't change much, but I can still dream that a woman might somehow find something about me that's worth loving. It won't happen, but still. Oh well 🙃

Stomping yourself into the ground isn't going to get you anywhere in life. If you don't like certain traits of yourself that are fixable, put some effort into working on them. And try to depend less on female validation for your sense of self worth. Ironically, you'll be more likely to attract someone if you care less about being able to.

Just reading your thoughts here it's plain to see you're a really good guy. If I see that there will be women who see it too.
As people get into their 30s looking for hot loses it's appeal and looking for a real good human being becomes the real attraction.

Fuck being hot and all that Instagram bullshit. Don't you know all those perfect Instagram couples have the most horrible lives offline? I've also watched so many true crime vids where one kills the other etc and the ig/FB happy posts were such perfect lies. No one's loving anyone. Unless you have money. Then suddenly people like you better. You're invited to their parties, they like to call you their "friend" and mention your name to others to boost their clout. We live in a capitalist society. No one's happy. Everyone's fucked.

@Poppies yes I do. Today's just a bad day for me due to not being able to take my usual anti-psychotics last night. I wrote this post in a weird state of manic malaise where I felt like I was operating on a negative amount of sleep.
