Try to do something that focusses your mind on something else. One thing I do think about is my cats and how they feel to touch, the textures and warmth from them. But that is just one suggestion.

Try to get outside in the sun if possible - allow the sun to touch your skin (but not get burnt). Sun is beneficial as it allows the body to produce variouis nutrients it needs including Vitimin D, a lack of which is associated with poor mental (and physical) health.

If you can, do exercise - this can improve things

Remind myself of how particular my cat is and that it's taken me years to get to know her and her needs. Noone else would be able to care for her as well as I am.
I like to give my thoughts on this but several others have already said the same things that i would do.
