How would you describe feeling numb?

Almost like a blank feeling/state

Easy. Its my default lately. Nothing phases you, good or bad. Really hard to enjoy things but on the plus side nothing upsets you either. Maybe apathy is the word im looking for

Things that would've typically made you feel fear in the past no longer scare you. Crying becomes hard because even if you're sad, crying just feels like a chore and a waste of energy. 24 hours start to feel like 12 hours even if you've been up for 24 hours. You lose track of time

I can't remember lately, but I either dreamed of it or really had been lying on my arm during my sleep. It feels like an amputated limb but with something made of rubber attached to it. Spooky somehow.

As for a numb mind, it feels like wholesome but slight headache.

Detachment from emotions

An immunity to feeling.

Things happen but they don't stimulate any emotional response, hugs, kisses, gifts, death of loved one, break up. They just happen and you're just there, no joy and no sadness .

I feel bored and unmotivated. Nothing is exciting and there's nothing I particularly want to do. I'm just there, wondering why I'm alive.

I think it's probably a reaction to a trauma, either a short-term trauma or extending back over much of one's life. The latter is more difficult to identify.

The physical feeling? Scary. Numbness gives me anxiety. The emotional feeling? Empty, like you've been drained.

One thing I've found is inability to grieve. I scarcely shed a tear when my parents died; yet was distraught when my dog was killed.

Usually after feeling lots of pain, I end up feeling numb and jaded.

I feel empty. Can't feel emotions. I don't care about living anymore and I don't care about anything at all.

Empty inside. Things don't bring me joy or pleasure or even pain. Just..numb. nothing. Like i am a big empty void

Lack of interest in anything. A feeling I'm well acquainted with.

Are we talking in the physical sense or emotional?

Perhaps an inability to respond to stimuli.

Like between sleepy and confused 🤔

When ur hurt so bad anything else just doesn't matter. Its good to not rush it let myself b sad as it helps me find where I messed up.
