Do you think this pandemic nightmare will be over by this time next year?

I would really hope so.

Even if there is such a thing as a Pandemic. I think we should just get on with life and accept what it throws at us. Other diseases are still with us and we have learned how to live with them.

If people wake up to the fact that it is a political ploy perhaps.
It's scheduled to be over November 4th.

@SWisGoingWoke I don't think ye olde covid is all about the US. Canada has mandatory masking and people are getting nasty here too and trying to say mask up or stay housebound.
@purplepen I have no idea what other countries are doing...and although it sounds crass, I don't mean it to be...but I'm not really all that concerned (about other countries.) They'll take care of themselves.

But the "planned-demic" surrounding the Chinese Virus here in the USA is all about politics. Yes, it does make people sick and yes it has killed a couple-hundred thousand, as any severe virus does in any given year. Remember the flue of '68? I do...it was a major suck fest and lots of people died. But it, and this Chinese Virus, are not valid reasons to lock people out of their businesses and refuse them their basic human rights to liberty.

@SWisGoingWoke There's a lot of politics about it everywhere I know. Not just Trump vs Biden, but clashing ideologies everywhere. Human rights and freedoms vs perceived collective good, mostly clashing instead of cooperating.
I hope so but I am not confident.Everyone is pinning their hopes on a vaccine-and there is no way they can manufacture enough quickly enough to vaccinate eveyone even if they do find one.
It is being suggested here that people will have to take a test every time they want to attend a sports event ,concert etc.The tests would not be available on the NHS and private ones cost at least £100 a time. That is going rule lots of people out of attending such events.
purplepen · 51-55, F
@TheSirfurryanimalWales They are doing covid tests for people volunteering at events in Canada.
It will be on its way out but we'll still be wearing masks and taking precautions.

Yeah I think it will be over by then. Its getting a bit boring now
Rose0415 · 36-40, F
@ammelee I mean, could you imagine if this thing is still going on after a year and a half?
ammelee · F
@Rose0415 I see the light at the end of the tunnel
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
No. I think even if a vaccine can be made and tested and administered, governments will hold onto the increase they have in control through fear and keep finding excuses for intrusions such as tracking.

More or less March. Less restrictive on a county basis.
