how to manage

i desperately need help for after manic episodes/ anxiety attacks. i lost an item of mine that can be replaced, and spent 4 hours tearing apart my room til i was crying, which pushed me into an anxiety attack. it hurt so bad. i just climbed into bed and i'm trying to settle and move oast it. sometimes after a bad attack it can leave me feeling bad for days. which ways do you manage your anxiety? it's hard for me to recover and i really want to be able to start moving on.. thank you :)) sorry if i sound stupid i just need help, lmao.

You don't sound stupid :)

What helps me is to do things that make me feel safe but try not to curl up, like, if you're in bed stretch out under the covers. Also don't clench your fists, if you have to grip something, squeeze a tennis ball or similar :)

Another trick for calming down is to keep cool (temperature) that helps slow your heart rate (apparently) which will help you physically feel calm
