Perspective. Some people will see atheists as bad people and some will see the religious as bad. Same with feminists or democrats or capitalists. So on and so forth

There is no universal measure for what constitutes good or bad

@TinyViolins So you don't believe there is ever any objectively bad act?
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@WynterBear I think that's an oxymoron. Bad is a value placed on something, and value isn't something objective. There are widely agreed upon values, like the value of a dollar, but if the economy collapsed that value would disappear.

People contextualize things to fit the paradigms they inherited. There's just nothing consistent enough to say it could qualify as objective
WynterBear · 31-35, F
Well there are actions that can have consistent outcomes. Murder has a consistent outcome, ending a life.
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@WynterBear People justify murder all the time. War, self-defense, hunting, factory farming, abortion, death penalties, etc. The act alone isn't enough to sway people without some ideological context
WynterBear · 31-35, F
So do you have a set of morals/ideology you ascribe too, or no because you find it all meaningless?
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@WynterBear In general, I take a neutral approach to things. Most of the time I find it hard to care about anything. But when I do, I believe that dignity is valuable. If there is something subversive to the dignity of certain entities, I tend to be ideologically opposed to it.

@TinyViolins Interesting!
