What do you think of the saying " you have your whole life ahead of you"?

It's yet another statement that is at once 100% true and 100% useless.

lol. Well.. I have good news.. eventually they stop saying that to you.. haven't heard it in years. :)

It seems like a less effective way of saying plan/dream like you'll live forever but live like you'll die tomorrow

It's just something people say to make each other feel better. I appreciate the sentiment even if we have no idea when I'm gonna die.

I don't like when people say that. It just seems like when people say that they are taking whatever is happening right now and making it seem like it isn't important, like it doesn't matter. Things that happen make us who we are. Hope that makes sense
