@MoveAlong @ElwoodBlues I love the fact that even though I have that little POS blocked for the moment, I knew exactly who it was that was bringing Trump into it. It's his entire personality.
Books, films and music, the lives of the Eminent, which was the subject of a Literary Luminary whom I am giving an all at a time treatment, meaning for the most part nothing else before I get to the finish line for the first of hopefully a few times if life is granted for longer than anticipated at this time.
A list of different flavored seltzer I have yet to try and when will I get to take a scenic trip on a train ...and go to the beach ...and hike the moutains ...
Random lyrics from songs. I will be going about my day happily and then suddenly there's the need to loudly and vocally declare how I want a pair of pink high heels that catch the lights up on a Ferris wheel. I'd be a genius if all the space that song lyrics take up in my brain made way for sensible intellectual stuff instead! 😂
Recent dreams I had Daydreams, typically with people that shouldn't be there Worries about my future Stuff I read on here or some other social media site Movies I've recently seen
@Sutten🧐 Shower arguments? I should start taking notes! My latest was a heated debate with my shampoo about the meaning of life. Spoiler: I lost, but my hair feels great! 😂 What’s your secret weapon for victory?"
@Mamapolo2016 The tale of Nero's "golden house" may be instructive for current events.
After a 'mysterious fire' leveled a big section of central Rome in 64AD, Nero (among his many excesses) built an extensive palace complex with gardens, lakes etc covering hundreds of acres. And, after Nero's suicide in 68AD, Romans de-memorialized him by burying some of the buildings and razing the rest. They did their best to erase him and forget him. I predict a similar fate could befall a more modern Nero.
Fast forward to about 1506, when people digging in a vineyard on one of the hills of Rome found a "grotto" with fantastic artwork in it. Michelangelo, among others, was deeply influenced by the ancient Greek sculpture preserved in the buried golden house, especially 'Laocoön And His Sons,' now on display in the Vatican Museum. I've seen it; it's breathtaking.
